Wild Kingdom
No need to find the old reruns of Wild Kingdom...
We've had a fawn take residence in the backyard. The doe dutifully comes and feeds the fawn several times during the day. It's quite a sight!

Also, the neighborhood bunnie has recently been spotted hopping about the back yard. It's a little early for Easter!

EE Reunion
After last summer's 20th year reunion of my fellow Electrical Engineer's time on the forty acres, we decided to get together again for a boat trip on Canyon Lake, where Arline lives with her husband Manfred.
It was a glorious day yesterday, and we had a great time visiting and reminiscing. Here's the gang:

Unbelievable But True
Today was a rainy Sunday here in Austin. Scott and I decided to play some Texas Hold 'em poker. Early on we had the most unbelievable hand!
After shuffling and having Scott cut, I dealt and the flop was a King-spades, Jack-spades, Ace-spades, a very interesting start.
After a round of bets, the turn card was a Queen-spades. We both let out an OOH-AAH. I couldn't believe it. I was hoping Scott was not sitting with a 10-spades with his hole card, giving him a Royal Flush. We did another round of bets.
Then the absolutely unbelievable happened, the River card was the 10-spades. I had dealt a Royal Flush with the community cards.
I have never seen one of these in play in all the years I've played. Amazing!

Great Times in Breckenridge!
The Austin Cahill clan had a wonderful time visiting Mom & Dad in their July getaway (from the oppressive Texas heat) in Breckenridge, Colorado.
The weather was in the 70s during the day, and lower 40s-upper 30s at night. That beats the 108 day we left behind in Austin!
For those planning their respective trips to Colorado, here's some helpful hints.
2. Sharpen your puzzle-making skills.
3. Get in shape to hang with Mom and Dad at high altitude.
4. In doubles, always guard your alley (especially against crafty lefties.)
5. Pack a swimsuit, you'll want to visit the Recreation Center with its awesome water slide.

6. Enjoy the scenic Blue river.

7. Do the rides at the Peak 8 base.

8. If driving, break up the trip with a visit with those zany, wild, and most hospitable Nairs (thanks Suzy and Mark!)
9. Catch up with friends (great seeing y'all Guice family--come our way, OK?)
Thank you Mom and Dad, we had a great time!!!
