Interior Painting Complete

Work over the last week has focused on painting, caulking, and trim painting. Also the granite countertops were set into place. The inside is really starting to look nice. Here's a look at some of the photos.

June Ingram

Yesterday we attended the funeral of Deb's mom, June Ingram. Here's a summary of the zestful life she lead.

June Ingram passed away on August 23, 2006. She was born on June 1, 1922 to Ray and Edna Dusold and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

June attended Marquette University and enlisted in the U.S. Navy during WWII. She was one of the original WAVES (women in the Navy). June was a fashion designer, model, and teacher of models. She was a beloved resident of Trisun Care Center and won the Trisun Beauty Pageant at the age of 83.

She will always be remembered for her sense of humor.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Edward Eigner.
She is survived by her daughters, Diane (Don) Weiner, Deb (Jim) Cahill, and Dawn Tabb; grandchildren: Orion Weiner, Kate, Claire, Meg, and Scott Cahill, and great-grandchildren, Kai and Mia Weiner.

A Graveside Service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 25, 2006 at Seaside Memorial Park.

Welcome to the Hood!

It's great to welcome a Cahill back to Austin, as our nephew Sean moved into to his campus area digs this weekend.

It was an amazing display to see Pat, Donna, Sean, and Shannon come into town with Sean's few possessions and leave town the same day (minus Sean) with a fully furnished one-bedroom apartment.

The city planners are rubbing their hands with glee with the bump in tax receipts from yesterday's power shopping extravaganza.

At one time Dan, Bob, and Suzy, and Deb's nephew Orion all lived here in Austin, but it's been just us for the past many years.

Sean, we hope you grow fond of the place and stick around for a few decades or so and hopefully catch a few more national championships... Hook 'em!

Trim and Nothing but the Trim

Last week was prime time for the trim carpenters to do their thing. Lots of crown molding, cabinet doors, closets were being finalized in preparation for the cabinet stainers and painters this week.

Oh, and the lake level is getting depressingly low. We're seeing more and more land each day.
