Lake Travis Nearly Full
Given our proximity to Lake Travis, we've chronicled the rising and falling lake level over time. Lake Travis serves as the largest flood control reservoir on the chain of lakes along the lower Colorado river.
In a little over two months, the water level has risen 35 feet. Here's the latest from the LCRA website:
Our nice sandy beach discovered about a year ago is now about 20 feet under water!

The "Sometimes Islands" are now also a thing of the past, at least for a while. Here's the view from our deck:
If the rains continue, we may soon hear the roar of the floodgates at Mansfield dam emptying floodwaters into Lake Austin!
