Long Hike along Sometimes Islands Ridge
Deb and I went over to Mansfield Dam Park to see if Lake Travis' water level had come up any after three pretty solid days of rain. Amazingly not. At least not yet. We're hoping some water is flowing down from all the rains in the hill country.
About two feet of water is all that separates Mansfield Dam Park from the Sometimes Island which is now over a mile long ridge:
Here's a picture that Deb took showing the Oasis on the cliff side over my left shoulder. We walked to almost the end of the ridge:
It was an overcast, breezy, cool, fall-like day. Perfect for our long stroll.
